The Garbage Men: Recording 3

For my third recording I was walking on Webster and Farwell. I saw on the side of the road a garbage truck and decided to take a look. The garbage men were taking the trash bags and putting them into some sort of tossing machine and the rest of the work was done electronically. I enjoyed it and I think you will as well.

The Electrical Box & Motorcycle: Recording 5

On my fifth recording which took place in an alley, I caught this weird noise in the background and heard a motorcycle passing by. I thought it was a very intriguing sound and expressed what I never would have heard if it wasn't for my microphones. I truly believe you will enjoy this piece, I did.

Water Fountain: Recording 2

On my second recording which took place on the 26th block of Maryland, I am very glad that I was able to pick this noise up because I went over to this same exact stop to test it again, and it was turned off (great sign the weather is turning on is). The fountain was so exciting because you could catch so many different points of the art. The water coming from the middle would make a quite noise but the drops that were landing on the water was the cause of the noise. It was really something that I sat and observed for a while and enjoyed myself.

The Car: Recording 4

During my fourth recording I picked up a sound of a car passing by me and then when I looked up to turn the corner I saw a man with a leaf blower. This sound was really nice because I heard the distance of the car that I usually would never hear and the main sound of the leaf blower. It was unusual to listen to because its almost as if there is an echo going through the air from the car. This is the car I heard driving away.

Drift 1 Strategy

I had a basic strategy that I thought would work great, the idea was to walk 4 blocks then 3 blocks then 2 blocks all the way to 1 block, then just walk home.
So I decided to start off on Linnwood and Murray, walking four blocks on Murray to Belleview where I took a left.
Then I went up three blocks on Belleview and took a right onto Farwell.
After I turned onto Farwell I walked up two blocks and took a right onto Bradford.
When on Bradford I went one block up to Maryland.
Then lastly took Maryland all the way back home, where I ended my sound walk at 3029 Maryland.

The Sewer: Recording 1

For my first recording of the day I wanted to pickup something unusual up because I wanted to test my recording. The sewer was a perfect place for this because I have never been in a sewer and I don't think that I will have a chance to ever hear what a sewer sounds like. So I hope that you guys enjoy the sounds of the underground as much as I did.
